Theo Cole McCool, 74, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, in Norman, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, December 28, 2007, at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Ehrlich officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Theo was born August 30, 1933, in Prattsville, Arkansas, to Franklin A. and Verdie M. (Stuckey) McCool. He entered the Air Force in 1950 and flew combat missions on the B-26 in Korea, for which service he was awarded the Air Medal. While in the Air Force he married Phyllis Karen Ivy on February 28, 1959. Following his 10 year Air Force career, he graduated from Texas A. & I. University in 1964, with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Theo moved to Norman from Oklahoma City, in 1973. He married Mary Cathryn Clay on May 21, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Theo was a member of the FAA retired employees Association, the Air Force Association, and the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc). He was a man full of life with an intense passion for his wife and family, his profession, and his hobby of automobile racing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family. Theo was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Phyllis. Survivors include his wife, Cathy McCool, of the home; daughter, Donna Woods, of Norman; two sons, Steve McCool, of Norman, and Rick McCool, of San Antonio, TX; three brothers, James McCool, of Roseburg, OR, Cecil McCool, of Winston, OR and William McCool, of Prattsville, AR; and seven grandchildren.
