Bio
Obituary William F. J. Tramp, 80 of Prairie Valley, passed away at his home Friday night after a four weeks' illness. He was laid to rest in the Prairie Valley Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 1:30 during services conducted by Rev. R. Heise Mr. Tramp, a native of Mecklenberg, Germany, came to this country with his mother and brothers and sisters when at the age of 24. His father had died in Germany 19 years before. The deceased was wed three times to Frieda Sump, Angela Reihs and Gesine Cassens, respectively. The latter survives along with three sons and three daughters: Willie of Elgin, Werner of La Grange and Elton of Prairie Valley; Mrs. Otto (Martha) Placke of Austin, Mrs. B. (Elsie) Mazoc of La Grange and Miss Agnes Tramp of La Grange. Surviving also are two brothers, Charles Tramp of Smithville and Fritz Tramp of Rutersville and two sisters Mrs. Fritz Marquart of Prairie Valley and Mrs. Chas. Kraatz of Nechanitz. To the sorrowing relatives sincere sympathy is extended. Koenig and Mueller were the funeral directors.
