Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Janelle Munger, age 85, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Bro Mark Posey, Pastor Dana Coker and granddaughter Amanda Garrett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Willow Wild Cemetery. Mrs. Munger passed away on January 11, 2022, at the Texoma Medical Center in Bonham, Texas. Janelle was born in Hamilton, Texas, the daughter of Ted Hansen and Esther F. Neie Hansen. She married Leroy Munger on November 22, 1958, in Cranfills Gap, Texas and she was Deputy District Clerk for Fannin County for many years. She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Bonham, Texas and enjoyed traveling, singing, and playing piano for the Silo Road Band and performed at the Senior Citizens Dance at the Life Center for many years. She was past board member of the Fort Inglish Museum and the Sassy Red Hatters club. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Hansen and brother-in-law Jerry Dickie. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Munger of Bonham, daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Doug Garrett of Sherman, brother, Randy Hansen and wife Linda of Port Aransas, sister, Juanita Dickie of King, and granddaughter, Amanda Garrett and her fiancé Ryan Colgan of Greenville.
