Nellie R. Reichling, 84, Leavenworth, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Celebration of Life will by held Monday, January 10, 2022, 2 to 4 P.M., at Davis Funeral Chapel. Nellie Raydeen Reichling (Lusby), died Wednesday January 5th at the age of 84 surrounded by family in her Leavenworth home. She was born March 17th, 1937 to Nellie and Raymond Lusby in Higbee, Missouri. Raydeen is one of 14 siblings, some siblings remained in the home, and others were adopted out. Raydeen married Robert Dean Kilgore on the 28th Day of April in 1956 in Lusby, Missouri. Robert and Raydeen had 3 children of this union; Robert "Bud" Kilgore of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Ronda Kilgore, Leavenworth, and Russell Kilgore, Leavenworth. Raydeen and Robert divorced later in their marriage. Raydeen married Frank B. Reichling, having one child of this union, Benjamin Reichling, Colorado Springs, CO. After Franks' passing in 1984 Raydeen moved to her home of 31 years in Excelsior Springs, MO. Raydeen stayed until she was no longer able to live safely on her own, she then moved in with her Granddaughter, Channing (Brandon) Cole of Leavenworth. Raydeen loved all of her family and dancing. Family gatherings made her the happiest, there wasn't a holiday that she did not take the opportunity to have a large meal with all of the family. You could feel the amount of love Raydeen had for her family by looking at the many pictures in her home that were proudly displayed in any place available. Raydeen always gave to anyone who was in need of anything, even if she did not have it, she got whatever that person needed to ensure they were taken care of. Raydeen had a heart of gold. In Raydeen's later years she had an unmatched sense of humor, she could fill a room with laughter in seconds. Raydeen leaves behind 2 children, 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Raydeen and her family are very thankful for all of the wonderful outstanding care and support that Saint Luke's Hospice has provided during this difficult time. Raydeen is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Frank Reichling, Robert Dean Kilgore, her son Russell Kilgore, and her daughter Ronda Kilgore, one grandchild, and 3 great grandchildren. A celebration of life to honor Raydeen will be held on Monday January 10th from 2-4 pm at Davis Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life dinner will follow from 5-7 pm at the Leavenworth Community Center in the Women's Waiting Room. Any donations made towards her final expenses are greatly appreciated, and can be made directly to Davis Funeral Chapel.
