Aquilla Mae (Boren) Brake, 74, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Aquilla was born February 18, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to L.B. Boren, Sr. and Viola Fae (Darland) Boren. She was a 1965 graduate of Archer City High School. Aquilla married Donnie Brake on October of 1987 in Arlington, Texas. She loved playing Pokeno and going to the casinos. Aquilla dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them any chance she could. Aquilla was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnie Brake; brother, Gary Boren; and niece, LaShaye Boren. Surviving relatives include her son, Bradley Schooley of Burleson, Texas; grandson, Brendon and wife, Sabrina Schooley of Fort Worth, Texas; siblings, L.B. "Buster" and Sylvara Boren of Archer City, Texas; Jimmy "Shug" Boren of Fort Worth; and sister, Twilla "TaTa" and husband, Mike Howard of Wichita Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Jan Janusch of Burleson. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
