The burial place is not known but he is not buried at Oak Ridge. A newspaper article says burial in the Cantrall cemetery which could mean a number of cemeteries. His mother in law was a Strode so he could be buried at Strode near Cantrall. July 12, 1907 issue of Illinois State Journal: The funeral of Francis A. Brown will be held at 9:30 o'clock this morning at the residence of his brother, M. J. Brown, 1125 East Spruce street. The interment will be made in the Cantrall cemetery. July 11, 1907 issue of Illinois State Journal: Chokes To Death While At Dinner. Francis A. Brown, Inmate of Central Hospital for insane at Jacksonville, Formerly of This City, Dies Suddenly While Eating. While eating at the table, Francis A. Brown, an inmate of the Central Hospital for Insane at Jacksonville and a former resident of this city, met death by choking at noon yesterday. Every effort was made by those present to resuscitate the unfortunate man but of no avail. Coroner Spencer of Morgan county, held an inquest and the verdict of the jury was in accordance with the facts stated. The decedent was forty-four years of age. He is survived by his wife, residing in this city; his father, Francis M. Brown, Ellettsville, Ind.; five brothers, Aron J. and Walter D., of this city; Samuel A., Denver; Thomas H. Brown, and Calop F. Brown, both of Ellettsville, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. Maggie V. Troth, and Lillie M. Brown of Spencer, Ind., and Amy Brown of Ellettsville, Ind. The remains will arrive in this city today and will be taken to the residence of his brother, Aron J. Brown, 1125 East Spruce street. The funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at the residence. Rev. Mr. Dobbs will officiate and the interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. Brown Of This City Dies In Jacksonville Was Eating Fruit at Central Hospital For the Insane and Swallowed It Too Rapidly. Francis A. Brown of this city, died at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the central hospital for the insane at Jacksonville by choking to death. He has been in the hospital for two years, before that time being a barber in this city. Yesterday he was eating fruit and tried to swallow it too rapidly, consequently choking to death. Deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Brown, residing in this city; his father, Francis Brown, residing Ellettsville, Ind.; five brother, M. J. Brown and Walter D. Brown, both of this city; Samuel A. Brown of Denver, Colo., and Theodore H. Brown and James F. Brown of Ellettsville, Ind.; and three sisters, Mrs. Maggie V. Troth, Mrs. Lillie N. Brown and Mrs. Onie N. Brown, all residing in Spencer, Ind. The remains will be brought to this city from Jacksonville to-day, and will be taken at once to the residence of his brother, M. J. Brown, residing at 1125 East Spruce street, where the funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning, the Rev. Mr. Dobbs officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Ridge cemetery.
