Bio

Mrs. Mabel Eloise Hallmark died Tuesday, January 10, 1984, after a long illness. She was born in Durant, the Capital of Indian Territory, which became the State of Oklahoma in 1907. She received her Bachelor of Education Degree at Southeastern College in Durant, her Litterarum Baccalaureus and Masters Degrees at the University of Texas in Austin. She was active in the Little Theatre during its early years, a Sunday School teacher in her church, and President of The Willow Meadows Association of Retired Persons, Chapter 1056. She was preceded in death by her parents; Carlton William Hallmark and Minnie Baker Hallmark, who were early pioneers of the Republic of Texas and The Indian Territory. She is survived by two sisters, Mary H. Godwin, of Houston, Opal H. Breivogel, of Ft. Meyers, Florida. Funeral services and Interment, Thursday, January 12, 1984.
