According to his death certificate, Charles was born 15 July 1877 in Austin County, Texas. He was enumerated on 21 June 1880 in Williamson County, with his father Joseph Martinets, age 50, his mother Anna, age 38, brothers John, 16, Joseph, 14, and Martin, 11. He was listed as Correll, a misspelling of Karel, Czech for Charles. They said all were born in Bohemia although Charles had been born in Texas. On 21 June 1900, Charles was living with his mother Annie and brother Frank, age 17, still in Williamson County. Annie was 57, born Oct of 1842. The length of her marriage was 38 years, and she had had 11 children, of whom six were still alive. She arrived in the US in 1873. She and both parents were born in Moravia. Charlie was 22, born in July 1877 in Texas. His occupation was photographer which will continue in all censuses. On 6 June 1903 Charles married Mary Kovar in Williamson County. They would have two known children together. First was Jerome Charles Martinets, born 4 Sept 1905 in Bartlett, Bell County and died 1 Feb 1970 (Find A Grave Memorial# 23620389). He married Gladys Reynolds (Find A Grave Memorial# 22944083). The second child was Leon August Martinets, born 16 Jan 1913 in Granger, Williamson County, and died 1 April 1991 in Bexar County. He married Olivia Mollie Wallenda (Find A Grave Memorial# 8693628). Charles and Mary were enumerated on 20 April 1910 in Bartlett, Bell County. She was 26, born in Texas and both parents born in Aust Hungary, as were Charles parents. It was their last enumeration. On 15 June 1919, Mary died in Bartlett and was taken to Granger in Williamson County for burial in the Granger Brethren Church Cemetery (Find A Grave Memorial# 23531394). Charles provided the information for her death certificate, and said she was born in Bastrop County, her father was Joseph B Kovar and mother's name was not known. Both parents were born in Europe. By 1920, Charles had returned to Williamson County, where he was enumerated in Granger with his two sons. On 14 August 1923 he married Mary Uherek in Williamson County. They were still living in Granger for the 1930 and 1940 censuses. Charlie died there 17 Jan 1948. The informant for his death certificate was his son Jerome who said Charlies father was Joseph Martinets and his mother was Anna Masar. Charlies second wife Mary Uherek Martinets died in 1964 (Find A Grave Memorial# 24517519).
