Funeral services for Mrs. Paulee Martin Drake, age 89, of Farmers Branch, and formerly of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2007, at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel. rEv. Bill Capps will officiate. Burial will follow services in the Cumby Cemetery, with Kenneth Maynard, Barry Jones, David Jones, Mark Heisler, David Higginbotham and Chris Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Lindley, Jeral Davis, and Noel Jones. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time, on Friday, at Tapp Funeral Home. Mrs. Drake passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, in Dallas. She was born on February 15, 1918, in Cumby, Texas, the daughter of T.A. Martin and Rosa Uleilia Moss Martin. She married Truman E. Drake, in Cumby, on August 21, 1940. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1973. Mrs. Drake was a longtime educator in the Sulphur Springs I.S.D. and Garland I.S.D. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sulphur Springs. Survivors include: two nephews, David Lindley and Jerald Davis; nieces, Lauwana Sue Lindley and Linda Earl Davis; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1964; her mother in 1967; and one brother, L.A. Martin, in 1990. Arrangements are with Tapp Funeral Home.
