Bio

Michael T Labenz was born on November 5th, 1958 to Gerald and Verna Labenz. He had 3 brothers; Mitchell, David and Anthony. On June 7th, 1982 he married the love of his life, Kara Labenz. Together they raised 3 children, Tonya, Eric & their youngest Katarina. Mike was an Independent Contractor for Sears for over 20 years in Omaha, NE. After leaving Sears he and his family owned a resort in Bemedji, MN for 5 years. He finished his work life at Menards Distribution Center in Shelby, IA as a forklift operator. He had many hobbies and interests including Indian Motorcycle's, fishing/hunting, antiquing, beer can collecting, sudoku puzzles and woodworking/carving. He enjoyed watching old westerns, especially John Wayne, watching college football and watching his favorite baseball team The Cleveland Indians. Anyone would attest he was a good husband, a good father, a good grandpa, most recently a great-grandpa, a hard worker, a good man and so much more. Survived by: Wife of 39 years: Kara L. Labenz Children: Tonya L. (Matt) Burns, Eric M. (Jessica) Labenz and Katarina R. (Xavier) Johnson Grandchildren: Jack, Madeline, John and Jacob Burns, Cassidy, Cayden, Haylee, David, Mia and Tyler Great grandchild: Aubrielle Bethany Funeral Home
