Bio

Sidney Clayton Ingram, 83, of 7719 Cummings Loop Road, McCalla, AL, passed away on December 10, 2021. Sidney was born on January 6, 1938, to Veto and Lottie Buckner Ingram in Straight Mountain, AL. He graduated from Oneonta High School where he wore the number 00 as a shooting forward for the Oneonta Redskins. He married his wife of 63 years, Rena Faye Cummings of McCalla in Alexandria, VA. Sidney and Faye were blessed with four daughters, Nancy Staggs (Sam), Linda Robertson (Ricky), Wendy Morrison (Wes), and Angela Gremaux (L T). Sidney worked as a Finance Manager at various car dealerships through-out Alabama, Florida and South Carolina most of his life but was at his best marketing and selling his own craftsmanship whether it was his unique outdoor chairs and tables or his characteristic videography. Sidney was an avid Alabama fan and a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He will be remembered by friends and co-workers as Sidney or Sid but to those who loved him, he will always be PawPaw. Sidney was predeceased in death by both of his parents and his brother, Ray Ingram. He is survived by his four daughters and son-in-laws, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild, his sisters Faye Tuck, and Betty Cummings and his brother Bobby Ingram. A family graveside service will be held at Kimbrell Cemetery in McCalla on December 20, 2021 at 11:00AM.
