Vickie Lynne Dusek Rodriguez quietly departed from this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021, after a valiant battle with cancer. Vickie was born on December 13, 1963, in Bryan, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry J. Dusek and Victoria F. Dusek, and son Christopher A. Rodriguez. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Christopher R. Rodriguez; and daughters: April L. Robbins and husband Brandon, Meagan B. Sovine and husband Andrew; sons, Collin R. Rodriguez and Michael L. Rodriguez; grandchildren: Jack, Luke, Ethan, Ava and Natalie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vickie greatly enjoyed her husband, children, and grandchildren, whether at home or on fun vacations. She enjoyed camping, skiing in the mountains, relaxing on the beach, dancing with her husband, attending concerts and sporting events and playing games and puzzles with her grandchildren. Being the gentle spirit that she was, she had a kindness for animals and loved to spend time with her cats and dogs. Vickie worked in a range of professions including accounting, pharmacist assistant and retail, of which included White House Black Market and JC Penny. Her hobbies included baking, reading, taking long walks, crafting, and creating photo books of cherished memories to share with family and friends. Vickie was an active member of the North Point Christian Church and Women's Bible Study Group where she faithfully served for many years. She had a generous friendly spirit and was always ready to lend a hand when needed. She was a blessing to her husband, family, and friends. She will be remembered for the love she shared and the many lives she touched.
