Dianna Lou Castleman Pinkert of Amarillo, Texas, was reunited with God on December 15, 2021. Her funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, December 20, 2021 at Llano Cemetery. Dianna's grandson Steven Bostick of Osage Baptist Church of Amarillo will be officiating. Dianna was born March 6, 1935, in Hollis, Ok, where she lived with her parents and eleven siblings. After graduating from Hollis High School, she moved to Tucumcari, NM, where she met the love of her life, Eugene Pinkert. On November 19, 1955, she and Gene married in Clovis, NM. Together, they moved several places until making Amarillo their final home. Dianna will be remembered for her wisdom, strength, and wit. Dianna loved people, and she loved to make them laugh. She used her sense of humor to touch people every day and, she credits God for all the good she accomplished. For many years, Dianna and Gene owned and operated Dianna's Daycare and several others in Amarillo, TX, until Gene's retirement. Helping and caring for others was her specialty. Dianna worked for Amarillo ISD, assisting with opening daycares for teen mothers in several high schools. She loved several hobbies: baking, sewing, crafting, and watching football, especially her Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, she loved her family; they were her world. She loved to hear about all of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids' lives and travels. Dianna also made several blankets for many nursing homes in Amarillo and the homeless through Osage Baptist Church, where she attended for the past several years. Dianna is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eugene Pinkert, her parents, and several family members. Dianna is survived by her four children, Jean Anne Bostick and husband Rick, sons Tommy Pinkert and wife Tamme, Phil Pinkert and wife Susan and Carl Pinkert and wife Lynda, all of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren all of Amarillo. She is also survived by two sisters, Bobbie Castleman and Shirley Pierce, and three brothers, Jerry Castleman, Billy Castleman, and Tommy Castleman. Sent by: Contributor: LySa DeSoto (49842390)
