Mitchell "Mitch" Lee Bodner, 63, was born October 15, 1957, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, August 7, 2021, in Redding, California. He was an enrolled member of the Quechan (Kwatsáan) Tribe in Fort Yuma, Arizona, located along both sides of the Colorado River. His grandfather, Bill Curran (Daddy Bill) was a cousin of War Hero, Ira Hayes. He was also a direct descendant and great-great-great Grandson of Modoc Chief, Old Sheepy, oldest Chief during the Modoc War of 1872-73. He was the youngest child of Vincent "Buttons" Bodner, Jr., and Shirley (Curran) Rockwell. On his paternal father's side (via Grandpa Vince), he was also Hungarian and Cxechoslovakian. He was born in Klamath Falls and as a toddler, he moved with his Mom, Dad and brother and sister to Redding, California. His mother was very ill at that time so he and his brother David lived for a short time with his aunt and uncle (Kirk and Anne) and their children, Kirkie, Susan, and the twins Dale & Drew. From there, the entire family moved to Project City, then Central Valley, where he made his home. He graduated Central Valley High in 1976 where he was an All-State Wrestling Champion. Also he took classes at Shasta Community College where he said his acting career began — when he played the Lead as 'Ishii' (Last of the Native American Yahi Tribe) in the live theatre. In his lifetime he had four sons that he was most proud of, Krayton, Kody, Kurtis and Jared. He considered his sons' and grandchildren his best accomplishment's in life.
