Lorraine "Lori" M. Shanahan, 82, of Valparaiso, passed away December 3, 2021. Born June 18, 1939 in Dwight, Nebraska on the Anderly Farmstead to Jim & Martha Anderly. She attended Gladstone Country School before graduating from High School at Dwight Assumption. Lori married Marv on September 7, 1960 and from that union they had 3 children, Mark, Nancy and Lynette. She worked at the family business alongside her husband at Shanahan Mechanical & Electrical for 30 years. Lori was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, polka music and spending winters in Arizona. She was a member of Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church and P. C.C.W. Lori is survived by her husband of 61 years, Marvin, three children, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister, two sister in laws, beloved pet, Herbie Husker, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother & father-in law Tom & Tillie Shanahan; Brother-in-law, Don Policky. Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, with Rosary beginning at 9:30AM, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church (637 S. Iver St, Valparaiso).
