Was a twin with brother Raybon Underwood. _____________________________________________ Raymon Underwood, 82, a Fort Worth resident for more than 50 years, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Denton. Funeral: The family will receive friends in the Drawing Room of Thompson's Harveson & Cole from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday when services will be conducted. Burial: private entombment in Greenwood Mausoleum. Mr. Underwood was born Feb. 6, 1922, in McKinney. He was a World War II veteran and served as a U.S. Air Force chaplain's assistant in Italy. He was an advertising merchandiser for the Frigidaire Division of General Motors until he retired in 1979. An accomplished pianist and organist, he played for Sagamore Hill Baptist Church for more than 20 years. As a member of First Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder, associate accompanist and member of the church choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Sallie Ann Underwood; and brothers, Clarence, Travis, Raybon and Lloyd. Survivors: Sisters, Lorene Lewis of Denton, Floy Edna "Janie" Park of Golden, Colo.; eight nephews; and three nieces. Published by Star-Telegram from Aug. 8 to Aug. 9, 2004.
