Obituary courtesy of Mack Funeral Home Carolyn L. Nichols -- (July 31, 1939 - November 27, 2021) Carolyn L. Nichols, age 82, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Robertsdale, Alabama passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. She was a member of The Church of His Prescence in Daphne, Alabama. She worked as a secretary at First Church of Open Bible and in the bulk mail department at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles J. and Rosa White Hobbs and her sister, Vonciel Gregson. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband, Willard "Bill" Nichols; daughters, Conna McHenry (Danny), Denise Mills (Greg), and Belinda Bundy (Ken), brother, Elvis Hobbs; grandchildren, Danny McHenry Jr., Travis McHenry, Tory Mills, Amanda Quintard and Crystal Bundy and her great grandchildren, Dakota Hamrac, Caleb Nichols, Carah Crane, Christian Crane, Juliana McHenry, and Cooper McHenry. Mrs. Nichols loved her family and enjoyed their times together and holiday celebrations. Babysitting her great grandchildren that lived near her was her great joy. She loved to sew and craft. She made everything from puppets for Children's Ministry and worship flags to clothing and quilts even formal gowns. She enjoyed crocheting baby clothes and christening gowns. Her favorite was hand embroidering scripture verses and nursery rhymes on the baby quilts she made as gifts. Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Robertsdale First Assembly of God with burial to follow in Hail Cemetery in Robertsdale, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church on the day of the service. Pallbearers will be Pat Abrego, Tracey Thompson, Randy Allred, Bobby Shores, Tommy Ray, and Shawn Lynn.
