Bio
Kathy Graves, age 65, of North Platte, died at Great Plains Health on November 25, 2021. Kathy was born to Stan and Frances Van Cleave on January 4, 1956, in Atlanta, GA. She grew up in Iowa and later married Raymond Graves. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa, before moving to Nebraska where they lived in Adkisson, Arnold then North Platte. Kathy had various jobs over the years including for Lions Cleaners, Pizza Hut and was a clerk at a gas station. Kathy was a Nebraska football fan and liked to knit and fish. She loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Ann; brother-in-law, Harold; and stepchildren, Monica and Chris. Survivors include her children, Tim, R.J. and Nikki (Lee); stepmother, Dorothy Van Cleave; stepchildren, Curtis, Chad (Gloria) Cory, Pat (Brenda), Mike (Sachiko) and Cheryal (Duane); her sister, Brenda, and brother, Vick (Donna); brother-in-law, Alton; many grandchildren including Alejandra and Daniel; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Bureau Cemetery at Clarks, NE, at 2 p.m. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore.
