Melch Services Held in Omaha - The Sargent Leader, Sargent, Nebraska - 18 February 1965, Thursday - Page 5 Funeral services for Thomas O. Melch 54 were held Feb 8 at St. Patrick Church in Omaha with Msgr. Joe Sullivan officiating. Pallbearers were Anton Prusha, Frank Janiak, Charlie Trojan, Mike Gibbons, Eldon Chadek and Edwin Chadek. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Melch was born Dec 21, 1910 a son of Joseph and Helen Melch. When he was 18, he and his parents moved to Hemingford and in 1937 ha went to Omaha and that had been his home since. On May 4, 1938 he was married to Veronica Honner of Taper(sic) So. Dak. They were parents of three children. Mr. Melch died Feb 4 at an Omaha hospital following a short Illness. Survivors are his widow Veronica, Omaha; a son, Dewain Melch of Battle Ground, Wash; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Doris) Ziegenbein of Lincoln; his mother, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Ford of Burwell. He was preceded in death by his father, sister and brother.
