Bio
Madelene Langston Boswell, 94, of Palestine, Texasdied October 30, 2011 at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Palestine. She was born June 4, 1917 in Anderson County, to the late John Langston and Rosa Melton. She was manager of Insurance Club for many years, and was an original employee of Shamrock Hilton Hotel in Houston from 1948 to 1949. Mrs. Boswell was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Boswell; three sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by sons, Tommy Cooper and wife Janet of Palestine, and Jerry Cooper and wife Donna of Deer Park; sister, Bobbie Jean Banks; grandchildren, Tommy Cooper Jr., Derhonda Stiles, Jeree Rogers, Karen Smith, and Kathy Taylor; and great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
