Ada Etherton is the daughter of Robert Martin "Bob" Etherton and Nellie Jane Shockey . Ada's parents were married on 10 July 1913. Ada's mother was previously married to Henry Albridge Delameter. _________________________________________________ Per the 1920 US Census , Ada Etherton resided in Morgan Township, Mercer County, Missouri with her parents and step-sister. Stokes and Harriet Lillian "Hattie" Puttroff. They divorced. Huttig Ave., Independence, died Thursday at the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital. She was born in Mercer County, Mo. and lived in the Independence area for the last 40 years. Mrs Stokes was a clerk in the engineering department of Armco Steel for 25 years before she retired in 1972. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Rose Millan, Kansas City, a brother Mr. William Jennings Delameter * , Princeton, Mo., a sister, Mrs. Ara Kirk, Spickard, Mo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services will be at 2:30 pm Monday at the Carson Independence Chapel, burial in St Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm y at the chapel. * NOTE: William Jennings Delameter is Ada's half-brother
