Our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather passed away at his home on December 13, 2007 after a valiant battle with Cancer. He was born July 3, 1924 in Granger, UT to Albert William Daw and Helen Rebecca Bawden. He graduated from Granite High School in 1942 and attended Utah State University. He married his sweetheart, Beverly Shepherd on May 7, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. Loved by all who knew him because of his unique ability to love them, Weston was a truly remarkable man. He was a true patriarch and a wonderful example to his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a kind grandfather, and a fun great-grandfather. Dad dedicated his life to the service of the Lord, his family and all he knew. He served as bishop of the South Cottonwood Ward for a total of 16 years and was most recently released at age 80. He served as a counselor in the Little Cottonwood Stake Presidency. He also served as president of the South Carolina, Columbia Mission from 1984-1987 and as president of the Philippines, Manila Missionary Training Center from 1993-1995. He was currently serving as the Gospel Doctrine Teacher in the South Cottonwood Ward. Known for his love of others and inability to sit still, he was always talking with people everywhere he went. Weston loved his yard and could often be seen planting, weeding, or just sitting and enjoying its beauty. He was very generous, always helping those around him in any way he could. Weston founded Daw Lathing Company later known as Daw Incorporated. He also was a founder of Daw Technologies. He was well known in the Utah Construction Industry for integrity and honesty. He served as a member of the Murray City Commission, Board Member of Cottonwood Hospital and the current president-elect of the Murray Chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family members. Weston is survived by his sweetheart, Beverly; his children: Karen Kammerath (Steven), Ronald Daw (Tracey), Ryan Daw (Shelly); Terry Daw (Darcy); Gordon Daw (Nanete), and daughter-in-law Leisa Brown; his brothers and sisters, Harold, Carol, Dawna, Owen and Larae: 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grand-children.
