Thomas "Tom" Kennington, 75, passed away Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 peacefully at home in Granbury, TX. Service: Friday, August 31st at 2 p.m. with the Visitation before the service from 12 to 2 p.m. at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Inurnment ceremony will be at Long Creek Cemetery at a later date. Tom was born April 7, 1943 3 miles outside of Stewart, Oklahoma to Richard Earl Kennington and Esther Clemens Kennington. He married Sandra Holland on April 11, 1975 in Fort Worth He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a Foreman at General Motors. Tom liked to do things just because he was able to; he built a hot air balloon, raced a car at Bonneville Salt Flats, and was the owner operator of Exxel Rental since 1984. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
