Fletcher Wayne Ridgeway, 75 of Athens, passed away on Friday, November 12th, 2021, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mr. Ridgeway was born on Friday, April 26th, 1946, to Fletcher Ridgeway and Annie Pearl Robertson. Mr. Ridgeway is survived by his wife, one son, two daughters, nine grandchildren; three stepsons; one sister, one brother, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia Tucker Ridgeway; son Jeffery Wayne Ridgeway; brothers Eandis and Ronald Ridgeway, and Marshall and Nelson York; sisters Annie Lou Ridgeway, Nadine Williams, Ola Mae Owens, Nella Ree Slaton, Thelma Snoddy, and Jean Chapman. Funeral services for Mr. Ridgeway will be Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, at 12:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Sam Johnson and Jeff Edwards officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2021, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evans Cemetery. Mr. Ridgeway was a shriner and a 32nd degree Mason.
