Doris Crain Larson June 4, 1926 ~ October 26, 2021 Doris Crain Larson, 95, of Ackley and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Grand JiVante in Ackley. A family burial will take place in Concord, Neb. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. Doris was born on June 4, 1926, in Coleridge, Neb., to George and Mabel (Anderson) Benjamin. Doris was a seamstress making wedding dresses and formals. She was a great cook and made specialty birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She was everyone's mom and loved by all who knew her. Doris is survived by her children Lloyd Crain of Browns Lake, Iowa, Susan (Steve) VanBuskirk of Ackley, Charles (Wendy) Crain of Ackley, Karen Chalup of Shell Knob, Mo., and Diane Duvall of South Shore, Ky.; sister Darlene Korleski of Cherokee, Iowa; sister-in-law Doris Benjamin of Storm Lake, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Larson; daughters Carol Jean Crain and Janice Beller; son-in-law Bruce Chalup; and brother Earl Benjamin.
