Mary Agnes Nault was born January 21, 1932, at Okeene, Oklahoma, to Norbert J. and Albina Pekarek, and passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the age of 89. Mary was a resident of the Okeene community for her entire life. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic School in Okeene as a child and later attended Enid Business College and became a farm wife and nurse. Mary was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Altar Society, and was also a choir member for many years. She won Okeene Whea-Esta Queen in 1948 and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In later years, she received the NCCW Woman of Achievement award, as well as being named the Blaine County Farmer of the Year. She was married to George B. Nault at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, in Okeene, on May 9, 1953. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Nault, her parents, Norbert J. and Albina Pekarek, and her brother, Norbert T. Pekarek. She is survived by: Two sons, Thomas G. Nault of Okeene, OK; Paul M. Nault (Mike) and wife Berry of Enid, OK; one daughter, Teresa Benham and husband Duffey, of Okeene, OK; seven grandchildren, Chris Nault, Adrian Danysko, Daniel Nault, Jeremy Ensminger, David Benham, Amanda Hammer, and Mathew Benham; eleven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The Rosary will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Agnes will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Okeene, with Father Jarek Topolewski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Okeene. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Parish Hall fund.
