Bio

Jackie Cink of Crete, Nebraska passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in Crete, Nebraska on October 31, 2021. She was born August 1, 1937 to Joe and Frances Cink in Crete, Nebraska. She graduated from Crete High School in 1955 as Class Salutatorian and graduated from UNL in Business Administration in 1959. Jackie taught Business & Math at Crete High School from 1960-2000. She Chartered the Crete Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) in 1963 and served as the Faculty Advisor from 1963-2000. Jackie also served on the Nebraska State Business Education Executive Board, FBLA State Board of Directors, FBLA Regional Board of Directors, FBLA National Board of Directors and the National FBLA Awards Program Committee. In 1988 Jackie received awards for Outstanding Entrepreneurship Instructor in Nebraska and the Outstanding Educator Award from the UNL Chapter of Delta Pi Epsilon. In 2016 Jacked was named to the Crete High School Alumni Hall of Fame. Jackie was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Crete, Nebraska and served as a volunteer and leader for many committees including leadership in Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Crete Deanery. Her loving faith was always the top priority in her daily life. Jackie also devoted herself to lifelong care of her Sister, Joyce Ann and loved their time together. Joyce is currently at Tabitha in Crete, Nebraska, enjoying the love and great care of their staff. Jackie loved baking, cooking and travelling both internationally with family and with her students to National FBLA conferences across the U.S. She was an avid Husker fan and loved attending games. Jackie will be remembered as an extremely generous individual who loved the holidays and entertaining. Each of her students had a special place in her heart and she was extremely proud of each and every one of them. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Rosary service will be on Monday, November 8th at 1:00 P.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church in Crete. Livestreaming will be available at www.facebook.com/SacredHeartCrete. Memorials have been designated to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crete or to the Crete Public School Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
