Funeral rites for Mrs. Pedro Perez, 64, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Berge-Thenhaus-Howser-Swoboda Home for Funerals with Dr. Harry L Hess of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial was made in Prospect Hill cemetery. Adeline Mae Perez, daughter of Ezra and Rachel Coontz, was born in Red Oak, Ia., Feb 2, 1877, and died at a local hospital, Oct 17. She was married in 1893 to William A. Dickersbach and to them two children were born: Mrs. Evelyn Swigart of Oelrichs, S. D. and Willliam, Norfolk. An adopted son, A. Kenneth Thirlwall, Norfolk, also survives. On Dec. 2, 1919, she married Pedro Perez at Kansas City, Mo., after which they came to Norfolk and since made their home. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church, having been converted in a revival meeting conducted by Billy Sunday at Straban, Ia. In addition to her husband and children, the following relatives survive: Three sisters, Elizabeth Moores, Woodbine, Ia.; Leona Hoff, Corydon, Ia., and Ethel Shoop Adams, Stockton, Calif.; four brothers, J. W. Coontz, Ames, Ia.; George Coontz, Denver, Ia.; Leroy Coontz, Des Moines, and Everett Coontz, Boone, Ia. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were: Art Genzier, Joe DeLane, M. E. Bendixon, William Lefferdink, W. E. Williard, J. H. Penhollow, Roy Carey, Jobs Cherrington, T. O. Ringer, and George Marguardt. ∼ 2nd spouse: Fredrick Abbott Ballard Parents: Ezra Fenton Coontz and Rachael Palmer
