Bio

Mrs. Martha Stevenson died at the home of her son O. C. Stevenson, in Anthony, Kansas December 26, 1913. Martha Ann Danks was born in Logan County, Kentucky, July 9, 1849, and moved with her parents to Leavenworth County, Kansas in 1856. Just a year later they moved to Johnson County, where on September 1, 1870, she was married to Thomas Stevenson, who came to Johnson County in 1860 from Pennsylvania. She was the mother of nine children, five sons and four daughters. She is survived by her husband, of Spring Hill, Kansas, O. C. Stevenson of Anthony, Kansas, J. G., and C. R. Stevenson, of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Grace Kline and C. W. Stevenson of Lenexa, Kansas, Mrs. Minnie Martin of La Veta, Colorado, and Mrs. F. F. McKaig of Olathe, Kansas who is a sister.
