Dorothy (Jelinek) Laza, 73 passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 in Ennis, Texas. Dorothy was born on May 13th 1948 and raised in Ennis to parents Joseph C. and Wilma (Trojacek) Jelinek. She grew up as an only child in Ennis and graduated Ennis High School in 1968. On January 15th, 1977 she married Clarence B. Laza and they made their home in Alma, Texas. Dorothy worked as a seamstress for several sewing companies throughout her lifetime. She was a member of KJZT Lodge 16 and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion clubs. Her past times included crocheting and cooking. She was a member of St. Johns Nepomucene Catholic Church. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her husband Clarence of Alma, Texas; Son Jeffery Jelinek and wife Tina of Richland; Daughters Loretta Ketchum and husband Kelly of Stephenville, Patty Miller and husband Todd of Palmer and step-daughter Joanna (Joey) Rickman and husband Rodney; Grandchildren Raylee, Jonas, Cash, Addie, Austen, Izzie, Kooper, Trenton and 3 step grandchildren Adrianne, Hannah and Colton. Funeral services will be held through Boze-Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home of Ennis. Visitation will be on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Boze-Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel, 800 S. Kaufman St. Ennis, Tx 75119. Rosary to be held in the chapel on Thursday October 21, 2021 at 7pm. Service will be held at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church 401 E. Lampasas St. Ennis, Tx 75119 on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis, Texas. Pallbearers are: Kelly Ketchum, Rodney Rickman, Todd Miller, Jonas Rickman, Cash Rickman, Matt Cameron, Frankie Haba and David Hornik.
