Bio

Eldon Stanley Slangal, 77, of Sargent, Nebraska died October 24, 2021 at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord, Nebraska. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Mt. Hope Cemetery near Sargent. Hitchcock Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Eldon was born July 23, 1944 in Sargent, Nebraska to Stanley and Marie (Veverka) Slangal. He graduated from Sargent High School. After graduation he joined the Army National Guard. Eldon returned to Sargent to take care of the family farm until 1998. He then bought his own truck and started trucking. He enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of stuff. Eldon is survived by a daughter, Tina Williams of Sargent, Nebraska and her children, Emily Slangal and Cody Williams. Step-daughters, Bobbi Augustyn of Mobile, Alabama and Crystal and Curtis Daniel of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a brother, Stanley Slangal and Donna of Sargent, Nebraska. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, Frank Slangal.
