Bio

John Newton Ross passed away on October 4th, 2021. He was born in Lexington KY on May 24th, 1940. His parents were Vera Kite Ross and Dr. Clay Campbell Ross. He had one brother Clay Ross, predeceasing him. After graduating from Lafayette High School in 1958, he enlisted in the Army Artillery branch of the service. He then enrolled at the University of Kentucky school of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture studies for two years. His main occupation was farmer and cattle buyer. He was a member of the 101 club, as a lifelong UK sports fan. He is survived by his wife Pamela Ross, his daughter Stephanie Ross (Dewayne Troxell), Jennifer Annis (Chris Annis), two grandchildren, Mitchell Annis and Christopher Ross Annis. Services are on October 30th, at 11:00 am at the Lexington Cemetery.
