Matthew A. Treffer, 50, of Ravenna died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at CHI St. Francis in Grand Island. Matthew Allen Treffer was born July 7, 1971 in Loup City, Nebraska to Robert and Pat (Moritz) Treffer. He grew up in Sherman County and was educated at Loup City Public Schools. He attended Central Community College in Hastings. Matt and his family lived in Grand Island before moving to Ravenna. He worked for Middleton Electric in Grand Island. Matt was a member of the Catholic Church, was a Boy Scout volunteer and taught electrical classes at Central Community College. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Brandon Treffer, Jadden Treffer and Morgan Treffer, daughters, Cassie Treffer, Callie (Patrick) Clark and Addysen Treffer, grandson, Lethan Clark, his mother, Pat Treffer, his fiancé, Allie Grimes and her three children, brother, Luke (Andrea) Treffer and sisters, Kristy (Jason) Obermiller, Mandy (Josh) Robinson and Kathryn (Angus) Demontforte. He was preceded in death by his father.
