Frances was born on a farm in Platte County in April 1919. She passed away at the age of 102. Frances lived in Omaha, Nebraska, all her adult life. She was baptized and confirmed at Looking Glass Methodist Church. Frances attended grades 1 through 10 at Platte County Rural Schools District #40 and #63 and graduated high school at Newman Grove, Nebraska in 1936. She arrived in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1937 and found employment with Interstate Bakeries where she met Frank Pabian. They were married in 1940. When Frank was inducted into the Army in 1943 during WWII, Frances applied for work at Union Pacific Headquarters and was employed there 36 years until retirement in 1979. During retirement Frances enjoyed her bowling league, tour traveling, and UP Railway Women activities. She closely followed Nebraska volleyball, football, and baseball and Kansas City Royals baseball. She always enjoyed working with crafts and her artistry was best shown by the watercolor pictures that she created.
