Age 91, went to be with The Lord, Friday, October 8, 2021. Glenn was born, January 13, 1930 in Malmo, NE the son of Oscar and Luella (Jurgens) Barry. Glenn has been a Lansing resident since 1967. He retired from Farm Bureau Insurance after 24 years of employment. Glenn was a proud Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was an active member at St. Gerard Catholic Church for many years. Glenn was very involved with the Knights of Columbus where he first became a 4th Degree Member of the Richards Council #788, Former Grand Master, Michigan District 4th degree, District Master and Navigator of the Bishop Albers Assembly. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend will be dearly missed by all. Glenn was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Sarah; sons, Kevin and Mark Barry; brothers, Ivan (Darlene) and Medford (Elsie) Barry. He is survived by his loving children, Marilyn (Bill) Richards and Tim (Lori) Barry; sister, Jeanie (Alan) Mebane; grandchildren, Josh (Joy) Richards, Emily (Jeff) Parker, Albert (Morgan) Perez, Alyssa (Alex) Garcia, Mark Jr. (Genn) Barry, Andrea Barry, Kevin (Almi Sonea) Barry and Emma (Hunter Scott) Barry; 16 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Elizabeth Barry; sister in laws, Margaret Reinecke, Elizabeth Svoboda and Mary Svoboda. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, 10:30 AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bob Bacik as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church or School in memory of Glenn.
