Bio
Alyne Elizabeth Mach, 87, passed away on December 5, 2007 at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was born to Apolena and Frank Polaski in Granite on June 5, 1920. Alyne, along with her ten brothers and sisters, were raised immersed in their Czechoslovakian heritage. Alyne continued her culture's traditions, customs, and language, which she passed down through future generations. Alyne was married to Bill F. Mach on November 5, 1945. They were blessed with one son, Charles, and began what would be their legacy in Yukon, Oklahoma. Alyne and Bill Mach made Yukon more than a dot on the map with their claim to fame in 1949 with the famous 'Grady the Cow'. Alyne's greatest pleasures were her family, cooking, flower beds, yard, gardening and her involvement at Saint John Nepomuk. Alyne was a woman of many talents and strength. She was a mother figure to all and will be greatly missed. The family of the home are Matt and Kristen Mach, grandchildren, Charley Michael Mach, great-grandson, and Pam Mach, daughter-in-law. Other surviving relatives are Janice Gappa, Katherine Harman, Billie Hearn, Herman Kopecek, Joe, Kenneth and Ernest Mach, Irene McAllister and Margaret Schirf. Alyne is preceded in death by her husband Bill; son, Charles; grandson, Michael; and great-granddaughter, Nicole Halsey. Funeral services will be at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church of Yukon, Sat., Dec. 8, 2007, with a Rosary in the chapel at 12:30 and Funeral Mass at 1:00, with interment following at the Yukon cemetery. Viewing of the body will be at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Friday from 9 am to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Alyne's memory to St. John School Endowment Fund or Frontier Hospice.
