Bio
Barbara Jeanne (Benson) Lyngholm age 70 of Apple Valley was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 5th with her loving husband Thomas by her side. Together, they gave their children and grandchildren the epitome of what a devoted Christian marriage should be. Barb embodied love and dedication to her family, friends, and her church. In 1998, shewas diagnosed with an advanced case of breast cancer. With a warrior's spirit and a passion to one day meet her grandchildren, she beat cancer and offered help and counsel to countless other women who faced the frightening diagnosis. The Lord blessed us with 23 more years of her in our lives. During those preciousyears she saw both her children marry and she was able to witness her five grandchildren to grow in faith and become bright shining examples of their Grandma's loving spirit. Barb is survived by her husband Thomas; son Derick (Dianna) Lyngholm; daughter Bethany (Doug Mackey); her grandchildren Melia, Jameson, Christian, Bennett and Elyse and her siblings Brian Benson, Joyce Evenson, and Lee Benson. She is preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Marie Benson. Visitation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 10th from 5-8pm at the White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave. in Apple Valley.Funeral services will take place on Monday, Oct. 11th at 11:00am at Bloomington Lutheran Church, 9350 Portland Ave. South. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday, Oct. 12th at 11:00am Fort Ridgley Cemetary in Fairfax, MN . In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a gift to the American Breast Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's foundation.
