Obituary for Lee Carroll Stevens Funeral services for Lee Carroll Stevens, 88, of Gilmer, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, September 27, 2021, at McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Thompson officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 9:00 am prior to the service. Lee was born August 27, 1933, in Upshur County, Texas to Claudie Miller and Ida Mae Bailey Stevens and passed from this life September 23, 2021, in Longview, Texas. Lee married Ann Harris, June 24, 1960, in Upshur County. He was a television repairman for 20 years and worked for Etex Telephone Coop for 16 years before retiring. Lee proudly served our country in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Navy. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Stevens; son, Tim Stevens and his wife, Kim; brother, Harrold Stevens and his wife, Juanita; brother in law, Roy Harris and his wife, Dianne; sister in laws, Barbara Wright and her husband, Jerry, Donna Dugger, Barbara Stevens, and Patty Harris; grandchildren, Taylor Stevens and his wife, Ashley, Brady Stevens, Jennifer Farmer, Michelle Bass and her husband, Troy, Jeffrey Wilkinson, and Matthew Brooks; great grandchildren, Jacie Ann Farmer, Kinsey Bass, Andrew Bass, and Kaitlyn Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Stevens Davidson; brothers, Billy Stevens and Jackie Stevens; and sister, Marion Hagler. Pallbearers are Taylor Stevens, Brady Stevens, Troy Bass, Andrew Bass, Cody Garmon, Jimmy Doyle Harris, and Richie Whitworth.
