Bio

Daughter of Alois & Celia (Dubas) Savage. She graduated from Spalding Academy in 1941 and received her Teacher's Certificate from Midland College. Frances taught at a country school near Spalding. On August 13, 1946 she was united in marriage to Charles "Stanley" Bonk at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. Frances worked for Becton-Dickinson for 23 years until retiring. She later enjoyed working as a greeter at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Catholic Daughters, and Area Block Rosary. She taught First grade at St. Bonaventure Grade School and later volunteered there. She was loved as a teacher and was very good with slow readers. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. Frances was a partner in practical jokes with her late husband, Charles "Stanley" Bonk, with whom she loved to travel. She was fond of playing cards, collecting figurines of angels, watching game shows, and doing word puzzles. Her smiles will be remembered and missed, as will her Christmas fudge. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
