Joseph Frank Votava Jr., 87, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021. Joseph was born in Crete Nebraska on July 17, 1934 to Joseph and Rose Votava. In 2016 Joe made the Nebraska ASA Hall of Fame. Joe partook in fast pitch softball from 1960 through 1984 and included roles as a player, umpire, manager, and State Fast Pitch Commissioner. Joseph is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Lodwig) Votava; children, Scott (Leslie) Votava, Doug (Sharon) Votava, and Cheryl (Gary) Stepanek; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemarie Hoage; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
