James Tryba, 87, of Ravenna died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. James Anthony Tryba was born February 19, 1934 in Howard County, Nebraska to Steve and Elizabeth (Roschynialski) Tryba. In his younger years he enjoyed spending time with his cousins, especially Ervin and Richard Woltman. They had many adventures together. Jim attended country school. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1958-1964. After his discharge he stayed with his Uncle John where he helped him on his farm with cattle and livestock. He later returned to Nebraska. Jim lived on a farm near Ravenna with his parents before they passed away. He loved raising Holstein cattle, hogs and his main love was buffalo. Jim was a person who enjoyed giving and helping people, not wanting payment but was appreciative when he got paid. When he could, he would do fencing work and loved the outdoors. He is survived by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, one who died in infancy and Eugene who passed away at a young age.
