Albina Marie (Bohac) Dykowski, 85, of Taylor, Texas, formerly of Granger, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at SPJST Nursing Home in Taylor. Visitation began at 6 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Mass was at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating and concelebrant Rev. Joseph Nisari. Entombment followed at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Granger. Albina Marie was born on Dec. 11, 1921 in Granger to John and Aloisa (Naizer) Bohac. She was married to Albin Dykowski on Nov. 25, 1946 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger by Rev. Msgr. George Tydlacka. They were an amazing team whether they were working on their farm, sharing their faith or caring for their family and friends. She was an outstanding homemaker, an excellent seamstress and she loved to cook. Albina was a very loving and caring person. Her pride and joy was her grandson, John Albin. She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church for most of her life until she moved to Taylor, where she joined St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albin Dykowski; brothers, Joe, Johnny, Gilbert and Albin Bohac; sisters, Angeline Zrubek and Martha Hrna. Albina is survived by her daughter, Karen Simcik and husband John of Granger; grandson, John Albin Simcik and wife Roxanne of Temple; sisters-in-law, Agnes Bohac and Marcella Dykowski, both of Granger, Cecilia Hyzak Provasnik of Taylor, and Albina Naizer Dykowski of Georgetown; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Gilbert Hrna, Robert Bohac, Joseph Bohac, Bernard Hyzak, Ed Dykowski, Craig Pepper and Johnny Vrabel.
