Bio
A graveside service for Janice Spraggins, of Jacksonville, TX, is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Tecula Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Reverend Connie Ramos will officiate. Janice Spraggins passed away on September 16, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville, TX. on November 22, 1934, to Harry Wilson and Myrtle Bolton. She graduated LVN nursing school in 1961. She was a school nurse at Neches ISD, a nurse at Nan Travis Hospital, and worked with At-Home Healthcare. Janice and her husband owned several businesses over the years. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Louisiana to the boats. She was an avid hunter and loved attending antique auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Myrtle Wilson; her husband, Jimmy Spraggins and her brothers, Elbert Wilson and William (Bill) Wilson. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Marie Boggs; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Mack Smith; and sister, Hazel Simmons; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Minton, and Dale and Mary Minton all of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her stepchildren including Deborah Constant, Marcy Spraggins and David Spraggins; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, JD Spraggins; and sister-in-law, Lottie Spraggins. Janice was loved and will be missed by many. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A special "Thank You" would like to be given to Rocky Spraggins, Angelina House and Heart to Heart Hospice.
