Cleora died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Butte Healthcare in Butte, Nebraska. Cleora Lou Ruff, daughter of Charles and Charlotte (Day) Fox was born on November 25th, 1940, at O'Neill, Nebraska. She graduated from Butte High School in 1958. Cleora was married to Lyle Ruff on December 23rd, 1963, at O'Neill. To this union, she was blessed with three daughters: Renee, Rhonda "Roni", and Janet. Although her favorite job title was "Mom" she also held positions at: Anoka-Butte Lumber Co., Watkins Distributing, Kaiser Blair Advertising, Nebraska State Insurance, Playful Pals, an in-home daycare, Village Variety, and Drickey's Market. Cleora was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and also a member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary, Bristow Lion's Club, and the Bristow Extension Club. Some of her ministry involvement included: teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, hosting and leading several Bible studies throughout Boyd County, and serving in the prison ministry in Springfield, South Dakota. She was also a leader for the Lucky Star 4-H Club and volunteer for the Boyd County Fair. Her hobbies included: reading, praying…. watching the Hallmark Channel, praying… following her children, grandchildren and daycare kids in their school activities, praying… being with friends, and praying. She was a true example of a prayer warrior! On September 19th, 2021, her last prayer was answered when she got to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face after living a full and blessed life of 80 years. Survivors include daughters, Renee and her husband JB Sikes of Burwell, NE and their children Autumn, Victory and Binyam; Rhonda "Roni" and her husband Dee Lewis of Oxford, NE and their children; Jaelyn, Trak and Ryder; Janet and her husband Jason Gritten of Odebolt, IA and their children Nicole, Jessica (Travis), Izraell, and Aavalon and great-grandchildren: Aleah, Ameara, and Adeline; brother Jim Fox (Eilene) of York, NE; in addition to nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her parents; brothers, Harry, Harold, and Charlie; and sister, Verna. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Butte. Pastor JB Sikes and Pastor Tim Hazen will officiate, with burial in Bristow Cemetery
