Funeral services for Donald Yaws, 88, will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Alvin Quick will officiate the service, and interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Normangee, Texas. The Yaws family will receive friends Monday, September 20th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers: D.J. Gibson, Trevor Horne, Hank Hightower, David Comeaux, T.J. May Honorary Pallbearers: Dave Gibson, Brian Brown Donald Jean Yaws was born August 7, 1933 in Gause, Texas to Anthony Columbus & Ella Mary (Kapeski) Yaws. He owned a salvage business and lived most of his life in Leon County, Texas. Donald had enjoyed playing domino games with others in the Normangee area. He passed away September 15, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. Preceding Donald in death are both of his parents; wife, Dorothy; daughter, Katy Horne and sisters, Kitten, Mary & Ruth Ellen. Surviving family members include son, Donald Yaws, Jr. of Normangee; daughters, Donna Baker of Bryan, Mary (Dave) Gibson of Normangee, Brenda (Keith) Swim of College Station and Debbie Yaws of Bryan; brother, Charles Yaws of Dallas; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements
