SUN CITY, Ariz. - Wayne Allen Goff, 90, passed away in Sun City, Ariz. on Jan. 16, 2021. Wayne was born Feb. 16, 1930, to Herbert L. Goff and Fern E. Richardson Goff. He graduated from Ord High School in 1947, and attended the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture until the Korean War started. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on Sept. 13, 1950, and received an honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant on June 16, 1954. While serving in the Air Force, Wayne was married to Willa Joyce Goff at the Ord Methodist Church on Aug. 15, 1951. After discharge from the Air Force, Wayne finished his education at the University of Nebraska, graduating in June, 1957. He then taught vocational agriculture at Hooper for two years. In 1961, Wayne was appointed president of the Alliance Production Credit Association. The Goffs lived in Alliance until 1985. He was elected to the Alliance School Board of Education and served for 10 years until moving to Grand Island in 1985. In 1985, Wayne started working for Five Points Bank in Grand Island. He retired in 1995 as a credit analyst and vice president. Wayne and Joyce relocated to Sun City, Ariz. in 2010. His wife remains living there at The Woodmark of Sun City. He loved to watch sports and made a point to attend his children and grandchildren's different activities and events. He lived an honest life, was loved and will be missed. Surviving family includes wife, Joyce Goff of Sun City, Ariz.; son, Allen and his wife Shelley of Gretna; and daughter, Jane Nelsen and her husband Scott of Sun City, Ariz. He also is survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Goff of Kansas City, Mo., Spencer Goff and his wife Micaela of Gretna, and Jay Nelsen and his wife Jenny of Groton, Conn. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Twila. He is in the care of Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary and Cremation Center of Sun City.
