***************************** McCook Daily Gazette - McCook, NE - November 26, 2007 ARAPAHOE -- Betty M. Arrington, 85, formerly of Bartley, NE, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born March 8, 1922, at Bartley, Nebraska, to James and Lydia M. (Arbogast) Fletcher. She was raised in Bartley and graduated from Bartley High School. She moved to Seattle, WA, where she worked for Boeing Aircraft for several years. She married George Arrington in 1941, while he served in the U.S. Army. He died May 8, 1987. They lived in Bartley in the 1950s. They moved to Littleton, CO, and then returned to Bartley in 1959. She worked for Board of Reclamation in McCook, NE, for several years, and for TRW in McCook in the mid 1960s until it closed. She then moved to Texas, where she remained until returning to Bartley. She then moved to C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home in Arapahoe in 2003. She attended Bartley Christian Church and was a past member of Ladies Club in Bartley. Survivors include her daughter, Georgia and husband, LaVerne Maret of Beaver City, NE, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and two sons, Dane and Bruce. Graveside services will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE, with the Rev. Phil Olsen of First Christian Church of Beaver City officiating. ************************
