Bio
Mercedes, Texas: Larry William Wyatt, 75, on the morning of 9/1/2021, became absent from the body and present with the Lord. Larry was born in Mercedes TX on August 7, 1946 to Melton T. Wyatt and Chlorene Dodson Wyatt. He graduated from Mercedes High School in 1965. He retired as a Social Service Supervisor with the Texas Department of Human Services after 30 years service. Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra Tutt Wyatt, son Kristopher (Jackie) Wyatt, three grandchildren whom he adored with all his heart: Kedrick, Trevor, and Leah Wyatt all of Mercedes, his brother Melton T. Wyatt, Jr. of Mercedes and nephew Bryan Wyatt (wife, Wendy and daughter, Harper) of Tennessee. Larry had a passion for fishing, a talent for cooking, and enjoyed reminiscing about his favorite time period - the 50s. Staying in touch with friends from his younger days (JR High and High School buddies) was a joy to him. He was also civic minded and had a giving heart as a long-time member of the Mercedes Lion's Club and Mercedes Cemetery Board. Larry was a kind and generous man. Till we meet again - we love you Larry - Daddy - Pop. Visitation will be Thursday 9/9 from 1pm to 8pm with a prayer service at 6pm at the funeral home chapel. Larry will be interred privately at Ebony Grove Cemetery at 10am on 9/10. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes, Texas
