Bio
Ralph "Buddy" Sliva was born to parents, John and Lillian (Klecka) Sliva, in East Bernard. He was raised in Galveston, Temple, and later returned to East Bernard where he graduated high school. Buddy was the owner/operator of a snack food vending business. On October 13, 1990, Ralph Sliva was joined in marriage to Carolyn Schroeder with a ceremony held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. He loved to garden, dance, and loved sports. Buddy was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Cat Spring. Ralph "Buddy" Sliva passed away June 13, 2011 at his home in East Bernard. Buddy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sliva of East Bernard; stepson, Jeff Justice and wife, Allison, of Chappell Hill; brothers, Hubert Sonny Sliva and wife, Ruby, of Giddings, and John Allen Sliva and wife, Sheila, of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Leigh Ann, Jeffrey, Madison, Mason, Jenna, and Jill; great-grandchildren, Ava, Briscoe, and Trinity; niece, Shannon; and nephew, Johnny.
