Services for Mrs. Rachel M. Williams are set for 10 am Friday in Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Eastern Star services will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, [Sapulpa, Oklahoma] under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams died Wednesday [June 8, 1983] at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center, [Sapulpa]. She was born May 24, 1910 in McKinney, Texas, and moved to Sapulpa 14 years ago from California. Mrs. Williams was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, was a past worthy matron of Eastern Star, and was a past president of Sorosis Club of Kiefer, [Oklahoma]. Survivors include a step-son, Francis Williams, Arkansas; a step-daughter, Vada Anderson, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a brother, Joe Strain, Tulsa, [Oklahoma]; a sister, Ruth Toney of Sapulpa; and several nieces and nephews. Sapulpa Daily Herald newspaper, page 2, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on June 9, 1983.
